The necklace consists of small, round beads made from recycled paper. The paper beads are approx. 1 cm x 1 cm long and wide and coated with a transparent, skin-friendly lacquer. In addition, the chains are equipped with small artificial pearls between the paper pearls, which vary in color from chain to chain. The chains are made with either an elastic, transparent nylon strap without a clasp or a static transparent nylon strap with a clasp. Due to the length, however, the chain can be comfortably and easily pulled over the head. The chain weighs approx. 44 grams and is approx. 88 cm long. The paper is secured by the varnish, so the chain can get wet, e.g. when it rains.

Our SAINT TROPEZ pearl necklace is currently available in the colors blue, brown, mixed colors, dark tones, yellow, gray, green, light tones, purple, orange, pastel, pink, pink and red. Each chain is handmade and unique, so machine perfection is to be avoided. The product ordered may differ from the picture.

De ambachstlieden van Pearls of Africa maken mooie sieraden van recycled materiaal in Uganda.
Eerlijk geproduceerd: Voor de productie huurt Pearls of Africa een huis in Kireka, Kampala, Oeganda. De werknemers werken ook in hun eigen woonhuis. De medewerkers verdienen een eerlijk loon, die 25% hoger is dan het gemiddelde lokale salaris. De vrouwen werken onafhankelijk aan de orders die ze krijgen vanuit Duitsland en bepalen hun eigen werktijden.
Milieuvriendelijk: het hoofdmateriaal voor de sieraden is gerecycled papier. Alle accessoires worden met de hand gemaakt en verpakt in duurzaam verpakkingsmateriaal.
Steunt de lokale bevolking: Pearls of Africa steunt haar werkers waar nodig en heeft een duurzame community van ambachtslieden opgebouwd van gevluchte vrouwen die hun huis of familie zijn verloren. Deze vrouwen krijgen door Pearls of Africa de kans om onafhankelijk te zijn en een eerlijk eigen salaris te verdienen.
