The Iron Roots performance (PF) line is meant for any workout that you engage yourself in. From relaxing yoga to intense CrossFit, our plant-based performance line will enhance your experience, with its antibacterial and breathable properties.

This quarter zip sweater is created to be worn both during and outside your workouts. A timeless classic that can form a staple in your sportswear collection.

For this product, we’ve constructed a custom diagonal fleece, made of a blend of 46% wood fibers and 54% GOTS certified organic cotton. The medium-thick fabric that we call PF65.Wood is naturally antibacterial and antistatic, for optimum comfort.

For the design, we’ve chosen a new color that we call walnut brown, inspired by the color of walnut wood. The high collar offers protection from the wind and to prevent the metal zipper from unnecessary opening, it has a locking function. To finish off the design, minimalistic white embroideries and prints have been added to both the front and back of the quarter zip.

This quarter zip is made from a custom 46% TENCEL™ Lyocell and 54% organic cotton diagonal fleece fabric. It has a carbon touch finish, which makes it extremely soft. This fabric and design combination is called PF65.Wood.

All of our products are made with materials from natural origin, which don’t need as harsh cleaning treatments as other, synthetic sportswear. We suggest the following care instructions for all of our products, to ensure that they will keep their performance and last longer.

▪ Wash at 30 degrees.
▪ Don’t tumble dry.
▪ Don’t use bleach.
▪ Iron with medium heat.
▪ Wash with the same colors.
▪ Fabrics from natural origin can shrink a little bit after washing them, which we have taken into account with our sizing.

Iron Roots is een sportkledingmerk opgericht door drie vrienden die zich ergerden aan de grote hoeveelheid plastic die wordt gebruikt bij de productie van sportkleding. Ze konden op de markt geen alternatief vinden en besloten het heft in eigen handen te nemen. Iron Roots maakt duurzame, plasticvrije sportkleding, gemaakt onder eerlijke arbeidsomstandigheden.

Eerlijke handel: Alle producten van Iron Roots worden onder eerlijke arbeidsomstandigheden in Europa geproduceerd. Ze produceren in Portugal en in Griekenland, in fabrieken die GOTS-gecertificeerd zijn, wat een eerlijke en milieuvriendelijke productie garandeert. Hun materialen komen uit Turkije, Oostenrijk en Litouwen, waar ook sprake is van goede arbeidsomstandigheden.

Milieuvriendelijk: Iron Roots gebruikt hennep uit Turkije, een duurzaam materiaal dat snel groeit en niet veel water nodig heeft. Ze gebruiken ook Tencel-lyocell en modal van het bedrijf LENZING (in Oostenrijk), dat wordt gemaakt van houtpulp uit duurzaam beheerde bossen in Europa. Tot slot gebruiken ze GOTS-gecertificeerd biologisch katoen uit Litouwen. Iron Roosts is een volledig plasticvrij merk. Hun verpakking is op papier gebaseerd.

Lokaal geproduceerd: Iron Roots worden volledig in Europa geproduceerd en halen hun materialen ook uit Europa.

Vegan: De producten van Iron Roots zijn volledig vegan.

Goed doel: 20% van de opbrengst van de Sea Shepherd-collectie wordt gedoneerd aan Sea Shepherd om de oceanen te helpen beschermen.
