Introducing our incredibly versatile ensemble – a layered dress that effortlessly combines style and functionality.
The first layer features a sheer Mul Mul pink shirt, naturally dyed from madder root & turmeric. Adorned with intricate embroidery, including French knots, Couching, and Kantha lines cascading from the shoulders to the back, details like double collars & cuffs add a distinctive touch.
The second layer is a flared A-line grey dress naturally dyed from jaggery & iron rust. Tailored with inverted pleats and functional pockets, this dress is a perfect balance of form and utility. The deep V-neck ensures visibility of the Mul Mul shirt, crafting a beautiful palette. Pair it with our straight pants for a trans seasonal and effortless look.
These straight pants come with clean cut away and welt pockets along with inverted pleats in the front. To enhance the texture, the back features pintucks & a back pleat.
Practical touches include side and back pockets,adjustable loops at the hem, button-fly fastening and belt loops.

Lafaani is een circulair Indiaas modemerk. De naam van het merk heeft zijn wortels in het Urdu en betekent letterlijk 'onsterfelijkheid'. Deze naam werd gekozen omdat het harde werk van de ambachtslieden onsterfelijk wordt gemaakt in de 100% hand gemaakte producten. De stoffen van Lafaani zijn met de hand/Ambar Charkha gesponnen, met de hand geweven met behulp van traditionele weeftechnieken, natuurlijk geverfd en versierd met de eeuwenoude handborduurtechnieken. Hun kledingstukken zijn 100% biologisch afbreekbaar. Alle producten zijn eerlijk gemaakt in India, van zaadje tot steek.
Eerlijke handel: Lafaani werkt nauw samen met de ambachtslieden die hun producten maken. De items worden gemaakt in een werkplaats in New Delhi die Lafaani bijna wekelijks bezoekt. Ze onderhandelen altijd eerlijke prijzen voor elk project dat ze samen doen. De stoffen zijn afkomstig van een kleine organisatie van eigen bodem uit Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh en werken rechtstreeks samen met wevers uit Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh en West-Bengalen. Lafaani komt vaak langs om een eerlijke productie en de kwaliteit van het materiaal te garanderen.
Milieuvriendelijk: Lafaani gebruikt alleen natuurlijke materialen. Ze gebruiken het katoen van een kleine organisatie van eigen bodem die alles met de hand doet. Het katoen is eerlijk geproduceerd, met de hand gesponnen, met de hand geweven op traditionele handweefgetouwen en natuurlijk geverfd. Door natuurlijke verfstoffen te gebruiken en alles met de hand te doen, worden de CO2-uitstoot en de watervoetafdruk geminimaliseerd. Ook de verpakking is volledig plasticvrij.
Veganistisch: Lafaani gebruikt in sommige producten zogenaamde Mother of Pearls knopen, wat gemaakt wordt van de schelpen van schelpdieren.
