These gorgeous small hoop earrings are skillfully carved from the Tagua nut and are really a great Joy. The lightweight earrings have a diametre of about 1,5 cm and come with nickel and lead free ear wires. Tagua is a nut from a type of palm that grows in the jungle of Ecuador. Often referred to as vegetable or organic ivory, it is a sustainable and environmentally friendly alternative to animal ivory. The nut is finished using a variety of sanding processes, polished to achieve a smooth surface and then dyed. Suitable for pierced ears.
